You will learn the POLESTAR principles for functional movement and the entire Pilates mat repertoire from pre-Pilates to high level exercises. You will learn how to perform the exercises yourself efficiently and how to instruct them effectively. Theoretical parts such as lesson structure, imagery, tactile instruction, contraindications, movement analysis help you to teach confidently and according to the needs of your participants.

All course content is also available online via the Polestar platform and as a printed course script.

The POLESTAR Pilates mat training gives you instruction in the principles, techniques and practice of Pilates, with an emphasis on group dynamics.

The POLESTAR Pilates Mat training includes the two-day Gateway Mat course, the POLESTAR Principles (PP) online course, followed by three two-day course modules. A two-day anatomy course can be booked as an option. The training provides the practical skills to master assessment techniques, Matte Pilates exercises, movement sequences and the application of POLESTAR Principles.

Our mat training package includes:
- 8 course days with 8 hours of learning modules, online material on the POLESTAR learning platform and the online Pilates Principles course.
- A student handbook and a detailed lesson script in French with photos and precise instructions.
- 1 day coaching in a POLESTAR Pilates partner studio

The price does not include :
- The requirements
- Personal practice sessions

FURTHER INFORMATION / REQUIREMENTS / PRICES:
After successful completion of the series, participants can qualify as an internationally recognised POLESTAR Mat Trainer by passing an examination (included in the package price).

Lesson plan

Gateway – INTRO Mat - In-Studio
Focus: Introduction to training principles, pre-Pilates + level 1 exercises, movement analysis/fitness test, plus online preparation.

Polestar Principles - Online video on the POLESTAR Learning Platform
Dr. Brent Anderson provides background knowledge and the principles of the POLESTAR Pilates concept. Learn at your own pace. Focus: Basics, Anatomy, POLESTAR Pilates Principles, Movement Analysis

Mat 1 - In-Studio
Focus: Figurative language - use of images/metaphors, contraindications, lesson structure, level 1-2 exercises

Mat 2 - In-Studio
Focus: Touch - Tactile Guidance, Case Studies, Lesson Structure and Modifications, Level 2-3 Exercises

Mat 3 - In-Studio
Focus: mat exercises with small equipment, challenges or simplifications of exercises, exam preparation

Exam Exam - is included in the price, but must be booked individually. After your training, during which you will receive advice from the training team, you register for the exam in the office.
