SPINEFITTER® from SISSEL is an innovative physiotherapy and training device with 28 interconnected balls that apply deep pressure to relieve tension and improve joint mobility. It promotes movement through deep pressure and opens up the fibrous connective tissue in the spine, the targeted body regions and muscle groups.

The SPINEFITTER was developed by Polestar instructor and osteopath Nina Metternich and can be used to improve flexibility, strength and balance. In this exclusive 2-part online/live course, you will learn how to use the Spinefitter in conjunction with Polestar Pilates principles to improve results for you and your clients.

The Pilates meets Spinefitter course consists of two parts of 3 hours each:

  • Part 1 (self-study), can be completed at any time, learn at your own pace!
    Online introduction to the SPINEFITTER®. The topics include:

    • Development of the SPINEFITTER®
    • Principles and advantages
    • How and why Pilates + SPINEFITTER
    • Exercises on the mat
    • Exercises on the Pilates equipment (Reformer/Trapeze Table and others)
  • Part 2 (in-studio or interactive live online format)
    Live demonstration and case studies. Topics include:

    • Application experience
    • Demonstration of changes and processes
    • Discussion of case studies
    • Implementation in therapy, individual training and group training

*Note: Spinefitter not included, you can order your spinefitter here buy. We recommend that you have access to the Pilates equipment for part 2.

About the trainers:

Alexander Bohlander and Nina Metternich are both senior educators for Polestar, therapists and osteopaths with studios and practices in Germany. As Pilates and movement specialists, Nina and Alexander have lectured worldwide and published articles on current Pilates-related concepts of movement integration. Alexander is the author of the Pilates Teacher Manual (Springer Heidelberg 2016), which is available in 5 languages.

You can attend part 2 of this hybrid course in-studio or watch it online in an interactive live stream format. We will enquire about your preference before the course.
