Polestar Pilates Europa PREMIERE: Two immersive workshops with Dr. Brent Anderson in Paris, France!

Designing exceptional Group Classes: Alignment, Load & Tempo

Workshop Description

Great group classes don’t happen by accident. They are carefully designed to balance movement quality, challenge, and client experience. In this interactive 2-hour workshop, Pilates instructors will learn the essential elements of effective class programming through the lens of alignment, load, and tempo.

Participants will explore how these three variables influence movement outcomes, client safety, progression, and class flow. Learn how to select and sequence exercises that maintain biomechanical integrity, apply appropriate loading strategies for diverse populations, and use tempo intentionally to create specific training adaptations and engaging class experiences.

Through practical examples and programming frameworks, instructors will gain the tools to design dynamic, purposeful classes that meet the needs of mixed-level groups while maximizing efficiency, results, and client retention.

Whether you teach Mat, Reformer, or apparatus-based classes, this workshop will help you build confidence in your programming decisions and elevate the quality and consistency of every group session you lead.

Raising the Bar: Standardizing Pilates Methodology and Advancing Practitioner Knowledge

Workshop Description

As the Pilates profession evolves, higher standards and clearer professional identity are essential. This interactive 2-hour workshop explores how practitioners can move beyond fitness instruction to become recognized movement specialists.

We will begin by establishing a robust framework for professional definitions and descriptors of the Pilates Method. This includes honoring the foundational methodology originating from Joseph and Clara Pilates while clearly categorizing the modern systems of Pilates, its comprehensive repertoire, and specialized apparatus.

Participants will examine the foundations of the Pilates Method, including its origins, modern systems, repertoire, and apparatus. The workshop also highlights the importance of expanding movement science knowledge, understanding pathology, and applying evidence-informed practice.

*Hybrid workshops*: Join either in person or online via interactive live-stream. Limited places available for in-person attendance!
